Our Little Armored Friend
This little armadillo lives in a hole next to our driveway. Technically it probably lives in a network of holes and tunnels near our house. We rarely see him but one day as we were packing up the car he just sauntered on by as if we weren’t even there. I decided to post these shots when I thought about the fact that many around the country (and world) never get to see an armadillo. We most often see them as road kill but occasionally get the pleasure of watching a live one. My son and his friends used to catch them — it’s not really that hard. You just need to be sure that you grab them in the right spot because they have some serious claws
